Welcome friends!

HEMA KC , and The Broken Arm Academy of Swordsmanship are pleased to welcome you all back to Linn County, Kansas to Lake LaCygne and prepare yourselves to fight honorably in our Deed of Arms!

Come immerse yourself in 15th century Europe, enjoying the natural beauty of the Park, and interacting with fellow HEMA students and scholars.

Take part in educational lectures to expand your better understanding of the Medieval World with our guest scholars.

Whether your are the novice, squire or seasoned Knight, we will have tournaments available all weekend for your to test your mettle and compete to be the first among equals!

Details concerning location in the Park: We will be located inside the Electric loop just North of the Marina. There are 24 spots available in the loop for camping, each that can hold two small cars and two small modern tents. There are electric attachments to each spot on the loop, so if you plan on bringing a camper or RV, you can hook it up from there. All medieval canvas tents will be arranged next to the list on the grass outside of the electric loop.

Park Amenities: Our camping space on the electric has a nearby shelter at the top of the hill that has bathrooms and showers with running hot and cold water. There are also spigots nearby with access to potable drinking water.

Cabins : Linn County does have Cabins available that we have been able to hold for our event. Each cabin can hold up to four people(six if you want to bring a couple of extra cots) with two full-sized beds, a kitchenette with two hotplates, toilet and shower. Towels and bed linens are NOT included. ** SOLD OUT** We do have a at least one cabin renter willing to share a cabin, so if you are interested in splitting the cost of the cabin with them, send me an email at RichMont85@gmail.com to help you set it up! Additional Note: ALL CABINS ARE NON-SMOKING ONLY. LINN COUNTY WILL FINE ANYONE IN NON-COMPLIANCE OF THIS RULE.

Offsite Lodging: If camping in a modern or medieval tent is not feasible and you are not able to reserve one of the Cabins available, there are Cabins available offsite just 3 miles from our campground! Check out Valleycabins.com their exact address is 22072 Valley Rd, Lacygne, KS 66040. If you are camping offsite, send Richmont85@gmail.com an email before checkout and you will receive 25 dollars off your Deed ticket price.

What to wear: Please bring appropriate 15th century garb and shoes in order to participate in the living history aspect of the event and our main feast on Saturday. You may want to consider bringing more than one outfit, a casual everyday piece, and a more “formal” piece for Saturday depending on your preference. You will also need to bring your own medieval cutlery as well as your own cup, flask or tankard. Garb is only required for the medieval camping area near the list field and modern clothing can be worn outside of that location.

Harness and Safety Gear: Please ensure that you have appropriate safety equipment for Blossfechten and Harnessfechten tournaments according to the Dekoven Concords. If you need any clarification or have a concern relating to safety gear, you may reach out to us via our contact on the website, or Richelle Montgomery at RichMont85@gmail.com
