Class

We DO have practice tonight.  The info on our website is out of date as I managed to loose my password.  Sorry.  Info:We will be practicing outside at St Thomas the Apostle Episcopal Church on Antioch at 7pm on Tuesdays and 3pm on Saturdays.

  1. Wear a mask of some sort, but don't buy one. Bruce and I will have masks to gift to all of our members. I am trying like the devil to have a bunch done tonight!

  2. If possible bring your own hand sanitizer. However, hand sanitizer will be available.

  3. Bring your own sword. If you do not have one you can check one out for a refundable deposit of $50. Please bring cash or a check with you to class. Swords will not be loaned out per class due to sanitary considerations. You will be responsible for keeping your own equipment clean. See Bruce regarding sword check out.

  4. If you plan to participate in this sport for a longer period of time, we encourage you to purchase your own training equipment. The first piece of equipment most people purchase is a practice long sword. Purpleheart Armoury is our go to vendor. Their products are good quality and customer service excellent. These swords run about $75 each. Talk to our instructors about which product the recommend.

  5. At practice we will be socially distancing. Classes will be broken down into groups of 10 or less. Drills will accommodate the 6' recommended social distance. Cones will be provided to help mark spots.

  6. Sparring will be limited to members of a single household or other folks who already be share germs.

  7. As we are outside you may wish to bring your own sun block, bug spray, lawn chair, and water. Luckily, we will be able to use the church bathrooms.

  8. Please be aware that AA will also be meeting outside on Tuesdays. We need to give them their space.

  9. For those of you not actively paying dues, we kindly ask that you restart. Please register at the following site. If you have not enrolled in the "intro class" don't worry about it. Skip to the monthly rate of $50/individual and $60/household. Call it the "Pandemic Special". Email me if you have questions or concerns regarding dues or pandemic unemployment has impacted your budget. We will figure out a work around.

As always if you have questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to let me know.

Thanks!
